Skin Peeling Treatments
What is a Skin Peel?
A skin peel, also known as a chemical peel, is a science-based treatment that, when properly administered, offers one of the most powerful non-surgical skin improvements available. At Art of Skin Care highly specialized naturally occurring acids and enzyme solutions are applied to remove damaged layers of cells from the skin’s outer surface—revealing more glowing, youthful skin. Rhonda Allison skin peels feature only the purest, highest grade ingredients, for optimum results that are naturally scientific.
How Does a Skin Peel Improve The Skin?
By removing cellular buildup and stimulating skin regeneration, my skin peels offer visible and measurable improvement in reducing wrinkles and fine lines, pore size, and oil production while clearing blemishes and improving the skin’s texture, tone, and hydration—for a more vibrant skin appearance. Skin peels may be especially beneficial in the treatment of hyper pigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and photo aging.
Getting Started
At Art of Skin Care all of my treatments are highly specialized and individualized. Before your first treatment your skin care needs will be assessed to determine the most beneficial formulation, application technique and post peel regimen. A variety of Rhonda Allison skin peels are available. Below is just a sampling of my most popular peeling treatments.
Rhonda Allison SKIN AWAKENING PEEL
Give your skin a freshened, healthy glow with this quick easy liquid enzyme and vitamin A peeling. This is a light, progressive peel that may be done every few weeks.
THE MELANIN LIFT
This superficial peeling is designed to smooth, soften, lighten and brighten skin using two specialty formulas. The brightening peel mixture has potent melanin suppressant lighteners that begin the dispersion of pigment. The gentle Vitamin A mask provides additional exfoliation while infusing important nutrients. This layered mid-depth peel has supportive healthy-aging benefits that leave skin refreshed, alive, and glowing.
TOMATO PEEL
Tomato has many naturally occurring acids and antioxidants—the anti-bacterial benefits make this a specialized peeling for problematic, oily, acne prone skin. This is a mid-depth peeling promoting mild exfoliation and increased healing.
THE FRENCH WINE PEEL
This signature peel takes skin to a whole new level of health and appearance. The layered blend of natural digestive milk enzymes and wine extracts create a serious peel that minimizes fine line, reduces pigmentation, softens skin tissue, smoothes skin texture, and balances hydration. Say Bonjour to the French Wine Peel. C’est Formidable!
BABY BOOMER COMPLEXION PEELS
These are a range of specific power peels for improvement of skin discoloration, fine lines, coarse texture, enlarged pores, and dull, lifeless skin. The appropriate preparation is selected, pre and post care is determined, and a follow-up skin treatment is required. Skin will experience aggressive exfoliation for at least one week and the appearance of skin will continue to improve over the next several weeks.
The above Peels may be repeated every 3-5 weeks.

What Can I expect After My Skin Peel?
While it is impossible to predict exactly what may happen to the skin, listed below is a general description of what to anticipate after a light to mid-depth peel.
- Immediately following the treatment the skin will be very smooth and tight.
- There may be a color change - pink to red the first day and then a brown tone until peeling occurs.
- The skin will generally begin flaking in 2-3 days; however, flaking can take place anytime for the next 7-10 days.
- Exfoliation varies from person to person and from peel to peel. Flaking may vary from mild, hardly visible to heavy continuous peeling. Do not be concerned how much you actually peel. The skin does not always visibly peel. It may take 2-3 treatments for this to happen. There are many refining benefits even if there is no visible flaking.
What type of home care should I use after my skin peel?
After your treatment you will be given specific instructions to follow. Post-peel treatment will include Rhonda Allison occlusive healing balms, epidermal growth factor for cell renewal and wound repair, calming topical to reduce itching and inflammation, and sunscreen. All Rhonda Allison post-peel products are free of dyes, fragrances, and additives.
After your skin has healed, daily skin care is essential to maintain results. Specific daily cleanser and sun-block in addition to a supportive cell rejuvenator will be recommended. Additional Rhonda Allison specialty products, such as pumice and buffing washes, antioxidants, eye serums, nighttime moisturizers, AHAs, ascorbic acid, retinol, enzymes, masks, and topical correctives may be prescribed based on your individual needs.
