This new, advanced micronized formula of benzoyl peroxide (BPO) contains a smaller particle size to penetrate pores more efficiently with a smooth and consistent application. BPO works as a bleaching and peeling agent, is antimicrobial, increases cell turnover, reduces bacterial count, clears up existing acne, and prevents future breakouts. Added bisabolol and sodium hyaluronate sooth and hydrate the skin to minimize irritation and dryness. This is the highest strength of Acne Med, appropriate for oily skin types with severe acne.

This is best for oily skin types with severe acne looking to graduate from lower strengths of Acne Med. Not recommended for sensitive skin types.

To prevent excess dryness, apply a layer of Face Reality Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel under your Acne Med.

Face Reality Acne Med is stronger than over-the-counter products. Start with a lower percentage and work up. These products should be used under the guidance of an acne specialist.

After cleansing and toning, apply a thin layer to the entire blemish-prone area. We recommend using Acne Med in the evening. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes a day initially, and increase wearing time gradually until medication can be tolerated all night. Slight irritation and dryness are normal and temporary.

With the new micronized BPO, moisturizer may be layered over this product after allowing it to dry for 15 minutes. However, this is only recommended for dry skin types, and may hinder the clearing process for those with oily or combination skin types.
