Le Mieux Boto-Needle Eye Mask

I love Le Mieux products (in fact, their Eye Wrinkle Corrector is my favorite eye cream, but this eye patch did not work for me. I tried it for the first time yesterday. I left it on for about half an hour and was impressed when I first pulled it off. I have some fine lines starting to develop near my left eye, and when I first pulled the patch off, they were less visible - I thought I'd found a great little pick-me-up. However, within an hour, the area was mildly itchy/stingy. I looked in the mirror and a spot the exact shape of the patch had turned red, inflamed, and the skin was almost leathery(?). The texture made the wrinkles appear way more pronounced than they've ever been. I cleaned the area and applied a tiny bit of hydrocortisone cream which helped with the itchy/stingy feeling. Most of the redness has subsided this morning, but the area is slightly swollen, and the texture is still a bit rough. I'm not worried about it (I expect it will be back to normal in a couple of days), but clearly my skin is not a fan of this product. I'm sorry it didn't work for me, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. The main lesson here is a solid and real reminder to never try a new product (or procedure) shortly before a special event.
