This new, advanced micronized formula of benzoyl peroxide (BPO) contains a smaller particle size to penetrate pores more efficiently with a smooth and consistent application. BPO works as a bleaching and peeling agent, is antimicrobial, increases cell turnover, reduces bacterial count, clears up existing acne, and prevents future breakouts. Added bisabolol and sodium hyaluronate soothe and hydrate the skin to minimize irritation and dryness.

This is best for dry, sensitive skin types prone to inflamed and non inflamed acne, and acne rosacea.

Apply a layer of Face Reality Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel under your Acne Med to prevent excess dryness. For best results, pair this Acne Med with other Face Reality products like Ultra Gentle Cleanser and Moisture Balance Facial Toner.

Face Reality Acne Med is stronger than over-the-counter products. Acne Med 2.5% is the lowest strength BPO and is the recommended starting point.
 

After cleansing and toning, apply a thin layer to the entire blemish-prone area. We recommend using Acne Med in the evening. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes a day initially, and increase wearing time gradually until medication can be tolerated all night. Slight irritation and dryness are normal and temporary.

With the new micronized BPO, moisturizer may be layered over this product after allowing it to dry for 15 minutes. However, this is only recommended for dry skin types, and may hinder the clearing process for those with oily or combination skin types.
