Face Reality Advanced Acne Med is a water-based benzoyl peroxide gel from Face Reality, designed to penetrate pores and eliminate acne-causing bacteria while preventing future breakouts. This treatment uses micronized benzoyl peroxide for smaller, more consistent particle size that improves penetration and reduces potential irritation. Available in three strengths (2.5%, 5%, and 10%), it allows you to customize your treatment intensity based on your skin's tolerance and acne severity.

Not recommended for sensitive skin types. If you're new to benzoyl peroxide or have experienced dryness with acne treatments in the past, start with the 2.5% strength and work up gradually. If you've used benzoyl peroxide before without issue, the 5% strength is a good starting point.

Apply a layer of Face Reality Hydrabalance under your Acne Med to create a moisture barrier that prevents excess dryness, especially when you're building tolerance or stepping up to a higher percentage.

Prepare: After cleansing and toning, ensure skin is completely dry.

Apply: Apply a thin layer to the entire blemish-prone area in the evening. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes initially, then remove.

Frequency: Gradually increase wearing time each evening until the product can be tolerated all night. Slight irritation and dryness are normal and temporary as your skin builds tolerance.

Technique: With the micronized formula, moisturizer may be layered over this product after allowing it to dry for one minute. However, this is only recommended for dry skin types and may hinder the clearing process for oily or combination skin.
