Frequently Asked Questions
Omnilux is a medical-grade LED light therapy system designed for at-home use. It uses specific wavelengths of red or blue light to support healthier-looking skin, targeting concerns like aging and acne.
Red LED light helps support collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines, firmness, and overall skin tone. It works by delivering controlled light energy to support the skin’s natural renewal processes.
Blue LED light is commonly used to support acne-prone skin by targeting acne-causing bacteria and helping reduce breakouts over time.
- Omnilux Contour Face uses red light therapy to support visible anti-aging benefits, including improved firmness and smoother-looking skin.
- Omnilux Clear uses blue light therapy to support clearer, acne-prone skin.
Your choice depends on whether your primary concern is aging or breakouts.
Yes — women can absolutely use the Omnilux Men mask.
The shape and size are the same as the Omnilux Contour Face, and both devices have 132 LEDs (66 dual LEDs). The difference is in the wavelengths:
- Omnilux Contour Face LED Mask: 633 nm red light + 830 nm near-infrared
- Omnilux Men LED Mask: 633 nm red light + 839 nm near-infrared, plus 1072 nm near-infrared
The added 1072 nm near-infrared is designed for deeper penetration, which is helpful for thicker skin (a common characteristic of men’s skin). It’s also strategically directed to areas where signs of aging are often most noticeable — including the forehead, crow’s feet, and nasolabial folds.
That said, this wavelength is still appropriate for women, and many women choose the Men’s mask if they want the most intensive near-infrared support.
Omnilux devices are FDA-cleared for specific indications related to skin treatment, making them a trusted option in both professional and at-home settings.
To see optimal results, Omnilux LED should be used a minimum of 5 times per week during the initial treatment phase. Consistency is essential with light therapy.
Skipping sessions or using the device less frequently may delay visible improvements.
Always follow the instructions specific to your Omnilux device model.
Omnilux devices are designed to be safe for a wide range of skin types when used as directed. However, clients with conditions such as rosacea or melasma may prefer a device that does not rest directly on the skin.
In those cases, the LightStim Elipsa LED Light Panel can be a better option, as it delivers LED light therapy without direct facial contact. As always, if you have a medical condition or are taking photosensitizing medications, consult your healthcare provider before starting LED therapy.
Many users begin noticing improvements in skin clarity and smoothness within several weeks. More visible changes in firmness and overall skin appearance typically develop with consistent use over time.
Yes. Omnilux should be used on clean, dry skin before applying most skincare products.
For enhanced results, we love applying Circadia Myo-Cyte Plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum before LED therapy. This advanced peptide serum pairs beautifully with red light treatments to support smoother-looking skin and visible firming benefits.
