Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask
Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask is a cooling clay mask that deep-cleans pores, calms redness, and rebalances skin without stripping it. It combines three forms of purifying clay with a lineup of botanical extracts and skin-conditioning actives to address congestion, oiliness, and irritation in a single treatment. A light menthol and peppermint sensation gives each application a noticeably cooling, refreshing feel.
Key Benefits
Deep Pore Purification A triple-clay blend of kaolin, bentonite, and illite draws out impurities, absorbs excess oil, and visibly minimizes the look of enlarged pores.
Redness and Irritation Relief Chamomile, calendula, and arnica work together to quiet irritated, reactive skin, reducing visible redness and calming sensitivity after use.
Antioxidant Defense Panax notoginseng extract, green tea leaf extract, and tocotrienol protect skin from environmental stressors while supporting a more even, healthy-looking complexion.
Moisture Without Heaviness Beta-glucan, panthenol, allantoin, and aloe leaf juice replenish moisture lost during the clarifying process, leaving skin feeling soft and comfortable rather than tight or dry.
Nourishing Botanical Oils Sacha inchi seed oil and macadamia seed oil deliver essential fatty acids that reinforce the skin barrier and prevent post-mask dryness, making this mask suitable even for combination skin.
If your skin leans oily, breaks out easily, or tends to look red and feel reactive, this mask was built for you. It targets the combination of congestion and sensitivity that often comes with oily and acne-prone skin, clearing out pores while actively calming the inflammation that can make breakouts worse.
Combination skin types will also find this mask easy to work with. The clay blend absorbs excess oil in the T-zone while the conditioning botanicals and barrier-supporting oils keep drier areas from feeling tight or stripped after rinsing.
This mask is also a strong option when skin is stressed, whether from hormonal shifts, environmental exposure, or a reaction to other actives. The chamomile, calendula, arnica, and allantoin help bring irritated skin back to a calmer baseline.
If your skin tends to look flushed or feel tight after other clay masks, the combination of menthol, chamomile, and allantoin in this formula makes it a gentler option. Start with 10 to 15 minutes rather than the full 20 until you know how your skin responds, then work up from there.
Prepare: After cleansing and toning, make sure skin is clean and dry before applying.
Apply: Smooth an even layer over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
Technique: Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Gently massage with warm water to loosen the mask, then remove thoroughly with a clean facial sponge or cloth.
Frequency: Use 1 to 2 times per week, or as needed. Follow with your serum, moisturizer, and SPF if using in the morning.
- Green Clay: Absorbs oil, tightens pores, stimulates, and revitalizes the complexion.
- White Clay: Detoxifies, refines congested pores, and soaks up excess sebum.
- Sacha Inchi Seed Oil: Rich source of omega fatty acids improves skin barrier and calms skin irritation.
- Red Ginseng: Naturally rich in vitamins B and D, has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties while increasing circulation and oxygen in the skin to boost collagen and build up barrier strength.
- Macadamia Oil: Contains high levels of oleic and linoleic fatty acids, deeply moisturizes, and helps repair skin barrier.
- Arnica: This healing ingredient provides antiseptic, astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory qualities. It works as an anticoagulant and stimulates circulation to effectively reduce bruising and swelling and soothe soreness.

What types of clay are in Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask and what do they each do?
Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask contains three clays: kaolin, bentonite, and illite. Kaolin is the gentlest of the three and absorbs surface oil without over-drying. Bentonite swells when wet to pull deeper impurities from pores. Illite, also known as French green clay, is highly absorbent and helps detoxify congested skin. Together they provide a more thorough pore-clearing effect than any single clay alone.
What causes the cooling sensation in Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask?
The cooling effect comes from menthol and peppermint leaf extract in the formula. Both ingredients activate cold-sensing receptors in the skin, creating an immediate refreshing sensation without causing actual temperature change. This makes the mask feel especially comfortable on flushed or overheated skin.
Is Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask safe for sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes, with some care. The formula includes chamomile, calendula, arnica, allantoin, and beta-glucan, all of which are known for calming irritated or reactive skin. That said, menthol and peppermint can occasionally cause sensitivity in very reactive skin types. If you are new to this mask, starting with a shorter application time is a smart way to see how your skin responds.
Will Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask dry out my skin?
It is formulated specifically to avoid that outcome. While the clay blend absorbs oil and unclogs pores, the formula counterbalances that with moisturizing and conditioning ingredients like aloe leaf juice, beta-glucan, panthenol, allantoin, sacha inchi seed oil, and macadamia seed oil. Skin should feel clean and refreshed after rinsing, not tight or stripped.
How often should I use Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask?
Once or twice a week is the standard recommendation for most skin types. If your skin is especially oily or prone to congestion, twice weekly use is appropriate. If your skin is more on the combination or sensitive side, starting with once a week allows you to monitor how your skin responds before increasing frequency.
Can I use Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask if I am already using exfoliating acids or retinoids?
You can, but timing matters. Avoid using this mask on the same day you apply active exfoliants like AHAs, BHAs, or retinoids to reduce the chance of over-sensitizing the skin. Alternating days or reserving the mask for evenings when you are not using other actives is a straightforward way to keep both in your routine without conflict. If you are unsure how to layer your actives, our estheticians can help through a free skincare consultation.
What antioxidants does Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask contain?
The mask includes tocotrienol and tocopherol, both forms of vitamin E that protect against oxidative stress, along with green tea leaf extract, which is a well-researched antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Panax notoginseng extract adds further protective benefit and has been studied for its role in supporting skin recovery and reducing visible redness.

I’m currently pregnant and dealing with crazy hormonal acne. I love using this mask before I was pregnant and I figured why not buy it again. This truly helped heal my pimple so fast. It was able to reduce the swelling with the cooling ingredients. I don’t use this all over my face as it can be drying for someone like me who has combo skin.
I leave it on for 15-20 mins as instructed. Rinse it and apply a nice moisturizer afterwards. I wake up with less inflamed acne.

From all the glowing reviews I assumed this would be a really good mask. I feel like it is just okay. The icy feel is refreshing but I feel like it dulls my skin out after washing it off. It does bring out the gunk in my pores to pimples so I use it a week before an event just my skin clears in time. I think my skin isn't oily enough for this to use consistently.
