Hale & Hush Clarify Wash is a gel-based cleanser built for skin that needs a thorough, effective clean without the tightness or irritation that so often follows. This formula works through a thoughtfully layered combination of exfoliating acids, fruit enzymes, antioxidant-rich extracts, and skin-conditioning actives that leave pores clear and skin balanced after every use. It carries a light, fresh citrus and botanical scent from the blend of clementine peel oil, lavender, and vanilla.

Dissolves Congestion and Clears Pores: Mandelic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid derived from bitter almonds, exfoliates inside the pore lining to loosen trapped sebum and dead skin cells, reducing blackheads and breakouts over time.

Smooths Skin Texture Through Gentle Exfoliation: Gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid, and lactic acid work alongside mandelic acid to refine surface texture without disrupting the skin barrier, making this cleanser well-tolerated even by sensitive skin.

Brightens Uneven Tone: 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid, a stable, skin-penetrating form of vitamin C, and glycyrrhetinic acid from licorice root work together to visibly reduce discoloration and support a more even complexion.

Enzymatic Cleansing for a Deeper Purge: Bromelain from pineapple and papain from papaya are proteolytic enzymes that digest dead skin cell buildup on the surface, enhancing the effectiveness of the acid exfoliants and leaving skin noticeably smoother.

Hydrates and Protects While It Cleanses: Sodium hyaluronate, betaine, glycerin, and tremella fuciformis extract help maintain moisture levels throughout the cleanse so skin never feels stripped or tight after rinsing.

Clarify Wash is a strong fit for oily, acne-prone, and congested skin types that need active exfoliation built into the cleanse itself. Try the dry cleansing method if you have oily or congested skin: apply Clarify Wash to completely dry skin before wetting your hands. This gives the mandelic acid and enzymes direct contact with surface buildup before water dilutes the formula, which noticeably improves how clean your pores feel after rinsing.

Prepare: For oily or blemish-prone skin, apply cleanser directly to dry skin before wetting. For sensitive or dry skin, apply to damp skin instead.

Apply: Dispense a small amount and smooth onto the face using light pressure, avoiding the eye area.

Technique: Wet your hands and massage the skin using gentle circular motions for 60 seconds to emulsify the cleanser. Use very light pressure and adjust massage time based on how your skin responds. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water or remove with a clean, damp cloth.

Frequency: Use once or twice daily. Follow with toner, serum, and moisturizer. Apply SPF every morning.
