Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream
Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream is a rich barrier-repair moisturizer designed for dry, dehydrated, and compromised skin that struggles with flaking, tightness, and chronic moisture loss. Powered by Diffuporine (Acetyl Hexapeptide-37), ceramides, and regenerative botanical oils, it works at a cellular level to restore hydration from the inside out and rebuild the lipid barrier that keeps moisture in.
Key Benefits
Activates the Skin's Natural Water Channels
Diffuporine peptide stimulates Aquaporin-3 production, improving how moisture moves from deeper skin layers to the surface for lasting plumpness.
Reduces Transepidermal Water Loss
Ceramide NP, AP, and EOP work alongside cholesterol and phytosphingosine to reinforce the lipid barrier and reduce the rate at which moisture escapes throughout the day.
Rebuilds Dry and Flaky Skin
Avocado, olive, and macadamia oils deliver essential fatty acids that smooth roughness and restore softness to skin that feels tight or looks dull.
Binds Moisture for Extended Hydration
Acqua Bio locks water to the skin surface, extending the period between hydration loss and maintaining comfort in dry or cold climates.
Supports Post-Treatment Recovery
The calming blend of panthenol, ceramides, and botanical oils makes this an effective recovery moisturizer after peels, microneedling, or retinol-induced sensitivity.
Defends Against Environmental Stress
Grape Seed OPC and Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate) provide antioxidant protection and support collagen integrity against daily oxidative damage.
Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream is built for dry, normal, and sensitive skin types that consistently feel tight, rough, or dull despite regular moisturizing. If your skin looks chalky in winter, flakes around the nose and forehead, or absorbs multiple products without ever feeling truly comfortable, this cream addresses the root cause rather than sitting on top of the skin.
It is also an excellent choice for mature skin that has lost natural oil production over time. As sebaceous activity decreases with age, the skin's barrier becomes thinner and less effective at retaining hydration. The ceramide complex in this formula directly replenishes what aging skin loses most.
To maximize the "aquaporin effect," apply this cream to damp skin. Start with a generous spritz of Circadia Blueberry & White Tea Hydrating Mist to provide the moisture that the cream will then "channel" into the cells.
For Extremely Dry or “Thirsty” Skin, layer 2–3 drops of Circadia Hydralox over AquaPorin Cream. This creates an occlusive seal that locks in the hydrating peptides and prevents moisture from escaping overnight.
Prepare: Cleanse thoroughly and apply your toner or hydrating serum first. Leave skin slightly damp before moisturizing so the peptides have moisture to work with.
Apply: Dispense a pea-sized amount onto fingertips. A small amount spreads well given the rich, creamy texture.
Technique: Massage gently into the face, neck, and chest using upward, circular motions. Press lightly to encourage absorption rather than dragging across the skin.
Frequency: Use morning and evening, especially during colder months or periods when the skin feels persistently tight. In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.
- Diffuporine® (Acetyl Hexapeptide-37): Enhances internal hydration mechanisms and water movement.
- Acqua Bio: Promotes long-term skin hydration via polysaccharides.
- Grape Seed OPC: Potent antioxidant that stimulates collagen synthesis.
- Avocado, Olive & Macadamia Oils: Regenerative botanical oils that soothe and soften.

What is Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream?
Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream is a lightweight, yet deeply hydrating peptide moisturizer designed to comfort, smooth, and firm dry or dehydrated skin. It helps improve moisture retention, support the skin barrier, and restore a softer, more supple skin texture.
Who is Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream best for?
This moisturizer is best for:
- Dry or dehydrated skin
- Skin experiencing roughness, flaking, or tightness
- Sensitive or environmentally stressed skin
- Skin concerned with firmness and early to moderate signs of aging
It is especially helpful during harsh weather, seasonal dryness, or barrier recovery.
Is Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream acne-safe?
Yes. While it contains botanical oils, they are selected for their ability to repair the barrier without being highly comedogenic. It is often recommended for dry, acne-prone individuals who need moisture without triggering breakouts. However, if you are prone to breakouts triggered by nut oils, we recommend using caution. If you have any concerns, our AOS licensed estheticians are happy to help determine whether this product is the right fit for your skin.
Who should not use Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream?
This moisturizer is not suitable for acne-prone or congested skin, oily skin types prone to breakouts, or clients currently following a strict acne-safe routine.
Choosing a moisturizer aligned with your skin type is key to avoiding unwanted reactions.
How does "AquaPorin" technology work?
Aquaporins are proteins that form "plumbing" for your cells. This cream uses peptides to signal your skin to create more of these water channels, allowing hydration to move from the deeper layers of your skin to the dehydrated surface.
What are the key ingredients in Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream and what do they do?
Key ingredients include:
- Diffuporine peptide – helps improve the skin’s ability to retain and distribute moisture
- Ceramides – support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss
- Avocado, olive, and macadamia oils – nourish and soften dry skin
- Vitamin E – provides antioxidant protection and supports skin comfort
Together, these ingredients hydrate, smooth, and protect dry or compromised skin.
Does Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream help prevent moisture loss?
AquaPorin technology improves internal hydration by stimulating Aquaporin-3, which increases water movement within the skin. However, it is not a heavy occlusive and does not fully prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
For dry skin types that lack oil, layer Circadia Hydralox Serum over AquaPorin Cream to create a protective seal that locks in hydration and reduces moisture evaporation.
Does AquaPorin Hydrating Cream help with skin firmness?
Yes. By improving hydration levels and supporting the skin barrier, AquaPorin Hydrating Cream helps skin appear plumper, smoother, and firmer, especially when dryness contributes to loss of elasticity.
Will Circadia AquaPorin help with redness and sensitivity?
Absolutely. By repairing the skin barrier, the AquaPorin cream reduces the sensitivity and irritation that often lead to chronic redness and a "stinging" sensation.
Is AquaPorin Cream good for post-procedure skin?
Yes. It is ideal after chemical peels, microneedling, or retinol irritation because it calms inflammation and restores the barrier without active exfoliation.
Can I use this if I have oily skin?
If you have very oily skin, you may find this cream too rich for daytime use. We suggest Circadia Aqua-Biotic Balancing Moisturizer for oily types, or using AquaPorin only at night as a reparative night cream.
Can Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream be used morning and night?
Yes. This moisturizer can be used both morning and evening, especially for dry or compromised skin that needs consistent hydration and barrier support.
Does Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream feel heavy or greasy?
While rich and nourishing, AquaPorin Hydrating Cream is designed to absorb comfortably without a greasy finish, leaving skin soft, smooth, and well hydrated.
What should I do if my skin is extremely dry and still feels tight?
Very dry skin types may benefit from layering hydration. Circadia recommends a 3-step hydration approach:
- Apply Circadia Moisture On Demand
- Apply Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream
- Seal with a few drops of Circadia Hydralox
This method helps maximize hydration and prevent moisture loss.
How long does a 1.7 oz jar last?
When used as directed (a pea-sized amount twice daily), one jar typically lasts 2–3 months.
Circadia AquaPorin Hydrating Cream is a ceramide-rich barrier repair moisturizer that restores deep, lasting hydration for dry, dehydrated, and compromised skin.
Primary Concerns:

I feel it's good texture overall and may work perfect for oily skin as it very light. I have combination skin dry to normal, so it feels like cream is completely absorbed by pores and I need to put extra layer. I think for summer it would be good. But for winter not enough for combination skin as day protection.
