GlyMed Plus Cell Protection Balm is a rich, occlusive balm designed to seal in moisture and support recovery in skin that is extra dry, chapped, irritated, or healing after a professional treatment. Built on a base of petrolatum and squalane, it layers over your existing routine to create a protective barrier that prevents moisture loss while soothing botanicals and skin conditioners go to work underneath. Rosemary, geranium, and citrus peel oils lend a subtle herbaceous, uplifting aroma.
Key Benefits
Locks in Moisture and Strengthens the Skin Barrier Petrolatum and shea butter form an occlusive shield that seals hydration in and environmental irritants out, helping to rebuild a compromised moisture barrier.
Calms Inflammation and Irritation Bisabolol and panthenol (vitamin B5) deliver anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing benefits that reduce redness, itching, and discomfort in reactive skin.
Supports Post-Procedure Recovery Saccharomyces ferment lysate filtrate, a yeast-derived extract rich in amino acids and peptides, works alongside yeast beta glucan to encourage the skin's natural repair process after peels, laser treatments, or microneedling.
Conditions and Softens Rough, Dry Skin Squalane, retinyl palmitate (vitamin A ester), and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) nourish and condition skin that feels rough, flaky, or depleted, restoring comfort quickly.
Versatile Enough for Everyday Irritations Beyond daily skincare, this balm is a go-to for bug bites, minor rashes, scrapes, windburn, and superficial burns where skin needs protection and relief.
If your skin is persistently dry, cracked, or chapped and standard moisturizers aren't cutting it, this balm adds the occlusive layer you need to finally hold onto hydration. It is especially well suited for anyone recovering from professional skin treatments like chemical peels, laser resurfacing, or microneedling who needs a protective barrier while skin heals.
It also works beautifully as a targeted rescue balm for seasonal windburn, irritated cuticles, dry lips, or any small area where skin is raw, flaky, or uncomfortable. Because the shea butter in this formula is highly refined to be acne-safe, even breakout-prone individuals can use it with confidence on compromised skin.
A little goes a long way. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingertips until it softens, then press it onto the driest or most irritated areas rather than spreading it across your entire face. This keeps the layer thin enough to feel comfortable while still delivering full occlusive protection where you need it most.
Apply: Warm a very thin layer between your fingernails and press gently over the affected area. Use as the last step in your routine, layering over serums, moisturizer, and SPF to seal everything in.
Frequency: Can be used morning and evening, or as needed throughout the day on dry, irritated, or healing patches of skin.

So nice, feels great on skin
Great thick moisturizer, slowly skin, lovely scent! Definitely helps with extremely dry skin.
Good petroleum replacement. Might be the culprit of some breakouts due to Shea butter
This balm has quickly become a new staple in my skincare routine. Most oils and balms make me feel like my skin can’t breathe or break me out terribly. I have never used Glymed+ so I was not sure what to expect with this balm. I have been applying a half pea-size amount during the day over my moisturizer and a full pea-sized amount at night. My skin is protected from the dry windy fall weather we have been having here when I am outside all day. At night this locks in the moisture and I wake up with glowing, soft and still moist to the touch skin. No breakouts and it soothes any irritation. This is everything I have been looking for in a balm!
Under the recommendation of my esthetician, I have used this product after a hydrofacial and the balm really adds a lot of moisture to my sensitive skin. You only need a pea size and I even use it on my lips.
