Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel
The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel is a lightweight, oil-free gel moisturizer built specifically for skin that reacts, flares, or stays chronically irritated. Hale & Hush is a brand formulated for sensitive and reactive skin, and this gel reflects that focus with a carefully selected botanical lineup that calms, hydrates, and protects without overwhelming the skin. It is fragrance-free and unscented.
Key Benefits
Calms Inflammation at the Source Pichia/resveratrol ferment extract delivers resveratrol in a small-molecule form that penetrates deeply into skin to reduce inflammatory signaling and support collagen structure from within.
Locks In Moisture Without Heaviness Squalane and caprylic/capric triglyceride reinforce the skin's moisture barrier and prevent water loss, keeping skin comfortable throughout the day without any greasy feel.
Neutralizes Environmental Stress A concentrated blend of turmeric root extract, aloe flower extract, and holy basil leaf extract provides antioxidant protection against free radical damage that accumulates from daily environmental exposure.
Soothes and Cools on Contact Witch hazel water, neem leaf and flower extracts, and corallina officinalis extract work together to reduce redness and deliver an immediate cooling, calming sensation on reactive skin.
Supports Skin Microbiome Balance Leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate acts as a natural preservative alternative that also helps maintain a balanced skin environment, reducing the conditions that lead to sensitivity flare-ups.
If your skin tends to flush, sting, or react to most moisturizers, the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel was built with you in mind. It is especially well-suited for skin that is sensitive, rosacea-prone, or dealing with chronic redness and irritation that needs consistent, gentle hydration without added fragrance, heavy occlusives, or unnecessary fillers.
This gel is also a strong match for post-procedure skin that needs calming support during recovery, as well as for anyone in an active acne treatment protocol who needs a hydrator that will not clog pores or interfere with treatment ingredients.
Because it is oil-free and gel-textured, it works well for combination and oily skin types that still need moisture but want nothing that sits heavy or contributes to congestion.
Try applying a slightly thicker layer of the Hydrate Gel and leaving it on for 10 to 15 minutes as a calming mask treatment when your skin needs extra support. Rinse or tissue off the excess, then follow with SPF in the morning or leave as your final step at night.
Prepare: Cleanse, tone, and apply any serums first.
Apply: Dispense a small amount onto fingertips and smooth over face, neck, and chest.
Frequency: Use morning and evening. In the morning, follow with an SPF.
Note: Do not use if skin is cracked or broken.
- Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract: A potent bioavailable active resulting from the fermentation of Japanese knotweed resveratrol with pichia pastoris yeast. Contains superior antioxidant properties to combat free radical damage and the visible signs of aging.
- Neem Leaf Extract: Improves skin clarity and brightness while reducing inflammation and balancing oil.
- Turmeric: Provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties with potent antioxidant protection.
- Biocolour Blend: Comprised of several calming botanical extracts, including neem, aloe, basil, turmeric, and eggplant.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract: Moisturizes, soothes, and softens the skin, while calming inflammation and reducing redness.

What skin concerns is the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel best suited for?
The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel is formulated for sensitive, reactive, rosacea-prone, and post-procedure skin. It is also a reliable option for anyone in an active acne treatment routine who needs a non-comedogenic moisturizer that hydrates without aggravating breakouts or triggering reactivity.
Is the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel safe for oily or acne-prone skin?
Yes. The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel is oil-free and gel-textured, so it delivers hydration without contributing to congestion or excess shine. Squalane and caprylic/capric triglyceride are both non-comedogenic ingredients that support the moisture barrier without clogging pores, making this a dependable choice for oily and acne-prone skin types.
What does the resveratrol ferment extract in the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel actually do for skin?
The pichia/resveratrol ferment extract in the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel delivers resveratrol in a fermented form, which results in a smaller molecule that can penetrate more effectively into the skin. Once absorbed, resveratrol works as a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, helping to reduce redness, support collagen production, and strengthen skin structure from within.
Can the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel be used after professional treatments like peels or laser?
The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel is a popular choice for post-procedure recovery because its botanical ingredients, including neem extract, aloe flower extract, and witch hazel water, are focused on reducing inflammation and calming reactive skin. Always confirm post-procedure product recommendations with your esthetician or provider, but this gel is commonly used in professional settings for exactly this purpose.
How does the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel compare to a traditional cream moisturizer?
The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel has a lightweight gel texture rather than a cream consistency, which means it absorbs quickly and does not leave a heavy or occlusive feeling on the skin. It is best suited for those who want effective hydration and barrier support without the weight of a traditional cream, particularly in warmer climates or for skin types that feel overwhelmed by richer formulas.
Does the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel contain any common irritants or allergens?
The Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel is fragrance-free and gluten-free, and it is formulated without ingredients commonly flagged as sensitizers. The botanical-forward formula uses naturally derived extracts selected for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, making it appropriate for reactive and allergy-prone skin. Always review the full ingredient list if you have known sensitivities to specific botanicals.
Can the Hale & Hush Hydrate Gel be used as a mask?
Yes. Apply a slightly thicker layer to clean skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes for an extra calming, hydrating treatment. Tissue off any excess or rinse lightly before continuing with the rest of your routine. This technique is especially helpful during a flare or when skin feels particularly sensitized.

I started using Hush and Hale products in July based on the recommendations from my skin check up. I really like the hydrate gel. I have sensitive combination skin and not only does it not irritate my skin it keeps me from feeling oily through tour the day. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s not as hydrating as I’d like it to be but I found a solution for that by layering it with the Hale and Hush Lipid lotion
