iS Clinical Active Peel System
The iS Clinical Active Peel System is a professional-grade, two-step at-home peel treatment that delivers 15 controlled resurfacing sessions over 30 days, combining fruit acid exfoliation with active repair to improve texture, tone, and early signs of aging. Step 1 lifts away dead skin cells using a blend of glycolic acid from sugar cane, lactic acid from bilberry, salicylic acid, and additional fruit acids from lemon, apple, and sugar maple, while Step 2 immediately neutralizes that activity and delivers Extremozyme® technology, tripeptide-1, and antioxidants including ascorbic acid and glutathione to repair and replenish. Both steps carry a light fragrance.
Key Benefits
Resurfaces skin without the downtime of a clinical peel Fruit-derived AHAs from sugar cane, bilberry, lemon, apple, and sugar maple, combined with salicylic acid, work together to lift dead cells and refine pore texture with each session.
Repairs environmental damage at the cellular level Extremozyme® technology in Step 2 uses enzymes that recognize and repair UV- and pollution-induced DNA damage, protecting the health of skin cells while the acids work on the surface.
Supports collagen and elastin production over time Tripeptide-1 in Step 2 signals the skin to build new collagen and elastin, smoothing fine lines and improving firmness across the 30-day treatment cycle.
Neutralizes acids and restores hydration in one step Step 2 stops acid activity immediately and delivers sodium PCA, glycerin, sorbitol, and botanical extracts to replenish moisture and support barrier recovery after exfoliation.
Fades uneven pigmentation with consistent use Repeated acid exfoliation over 30 days accelerates cell turnover, lifting pigmented surface cells and revealing more uniform skin tone with each treatment.
Clinically Proven Results (after 8 weeks):
- 73% improvement in skin density
- 73% reported improvement in radiance
- 79% reported improvement in pigmentation
- 80% reported improvement in skin texture
If your skin looks dull, feels rough, or shows early signs of sun damage like uneven tone or shallow lines, this system offers clinical-level resurfacing at home without the recovery time of an in-office peel. It works well for combination, oily, and normal skin types that tolerate acids, but the alcohol content in Step 1 may be too drying for very sensitive or compromised skin barriers.
This is an ideal choice if you want consistent resurfacing results but cannot commit to monthly in-office appointments, or if you are preparing your skin for an event and want to see visible improvements over the course of a month. Because it pairs exfoliation with DNA repair enzymes and a collagen-supporting peptide, it addresses texture and early aging concerns at the same time.
The salicylic acid in Step 1 also makes it a practical option for acne-prone skin, where it can help clear congestion and resurface post-acne texture over the treatment cycle.
If you are new to acid peels, start with a 2-minute contact time for Step 1 during your first two or three treatments, then work up to the full 3 minutes as your skin builds tolerance. This small adjustment makes a real difference in how your skin responds early in the cycle.
Frequency: Use every other evening for 30 days, for a total of 15 treatments.
Prepare: Cleanse and fully dry your skin before starting.
Apply Step 1: Smooth one Step 1 pad over your entire face and neck. Leave on for exactly 3 minutes. Do not rinse.
Apply Step 2: Immediately follow with one Step 2 pad over the same area. Leave on and allow to absorb fully.
Step 1
Water/Aqua/Eau, Alcohol, Propanediol, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract [Extrait de canne à sucre], Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Pentylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus (Bilberry) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Aminomethyl Propanol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Menthol, Fragrance[Parfum], Disodium EDTA.
Step 2
Water/Aqua/Eau, Propanediol, Scenedesmus Rubescens Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Lentinus Edodes Mycelium Extract, Glycerin, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Maltodextrin, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract, Leucojum Aestivum Bulb Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Glycogen, Sodium PCA, Succinic Acid, Glutathione, Tripeptide-1, Colloidal Gold, Fragrance[Parfum], Sorbitol, PEG-8, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide, Sodium Lactate, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Dextran.
Can I use iS Clinical Active Peel System if I'm already using retinol?
Pause your retinol on the evenings you use the iS Clinical Active Peel System. Layering acids and retinol in the same session can overwhelm your barrier and lead to irritation. You can continue retinol on your off nights, but scale back if you notice persistent dryness or sensitivity.
Will my skin peel after using iS Clinical Active Peel System?
Most people experience light flaking or dryness in the day or two following a treatment, but you will not see the dramatic peeling associated with in-office chemical peels. The exfoliation is gradual and controlled, designed to refresh skin without requiring downtime.
What does Extremozyme® technology do in the iS Clinical Active Peel System Step 2?
Extremozyme® technology uses enzymes derived from microorganisms that thrive in extreme environmental conditions. In the iS Clinical Active Peel System, these enzymes target and repair DNA damage caused by UV exposure and pollution, supporting healthier cell turnover and helping to reduce the cumulative signs of environmental aging.
Can I use iS Clinical Active Peel System in the morning?
Evening use is strongly recommended. The acids in Step 1 increase your skin's sensitivity to UV, and even with sunscreen, applying the system at night gives your skin time to recover before any sun exposure. If morning use is unavoidable, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher immediately after Step 2 and reapply every two hours.
How is iS Clinical Active Peel System different from a daily acid toner?
The iS Clinical Active Peel System is a treatment protocol, not a maintenance product. The acid concentrations are higher, the contact time is intentionally controlled, and the two-step format combines exfoliation with active repair using Extremozyme® technology, tripeptide-1, and antioxidants. Daily toners help maintain results; this system builds them through a dedicated 30-day cycle.
Can I use iS Clinical Active Peel System if I have active acne?
Yes. The salicylic acid in Step 1 is oil-soluble and penetrates into pores to help clear congestion, while the fruit acids work on resurfacing post-acne texture. Avoid applying directly over open wounds or active cystic lesions, but the system is generally well suited for acne-prone skin.
Do I need to wait between Step 1 and Step 2 of iS Clinical Active Peel System?
No waiting period is needed. Apply Step 2 immediately after the 3-minute Step 1 window closes. Step 2 is designed to neutralize the acids right away while delivering the repair actives, so transitioning directly from one pad to the other is the intended use.

This is my second time purchasing this peel system. It’s gentle but affective, and I love how easy it is to use. Leaves my skin glowing each time. I use it at night after washing my face and use a moisturizing serum and moisturizer after and my skin is brought back to life. Easy to travel with, and smell isn’t overpowering.

My skin looks great and I’ve actually gotten quite a few compliments since using this peel. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I didn’t actually have a flake with this so I might use a booster or a stronger peel next time.
