Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel
Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel is a foaming gel cleanser that removes makeup, oil, and impurities without stripping your skin's moisture barrier. This gentle formula delivers a thorough cleanse while actively preventing the tight, dry feeling that typically follows washing, leaving skin soft, balanced, and comfortable.
Key Benefits
Removes makeup and oil without dehydration The gel transforms into a lightweight foam that lifts away surface debris and dissolves makeup while glycerin maintains your skin's natural hydration levels.
Prevents moisture loss during cleansing Hydrating agents work to counteract the drying effects of cleansing, so your skin feels refreshed and comfortable, never tight or stripped.
Soothes and calms with white oak bark extract White oak bark extract delivers astringent and calming properties that help refine skin texture while supporting a balanced, resilient complexion.
Strengthens with pro-vitamin B5 Panthenol attracts and retains moisture in the skin, supporting barrier function and leaving your complexion feeling soft and nourished after every wash.
Gentle foaming action for all skin types Cocamidopropyl betaine and disodium cocoamphodiacetate provide a mild, sulfate-alternative lather that cleanses effectively without compromising your skin's protective balance.
This cleanser is ideal for anyone whose skin feels tight, flaky, or uncomfortable after washing. If your current cleanser leaves you reaching for moisturizer immediately, this gel offers a gentler approach that cleanses thoroughly without compromising hydration.
It works beautifully for normal to dry skin types, and for combination skin that needs effective cleansing in the T-zone without dryness on the cheeks. If you wear makeup daily or prefer a foaming texture that still feels nourishing, this formula delivers both. It's also an excellent choice if you're using active ingredients like retinol or acids and need a cleanser that won't further stress your moisture barrier.
If you wear sunscreen or waterproof makeup, consider a first cleanse with an oil-based or balm cleanser, then follow with this gel as your second cleanse. The double-cleanse method ensures every trace of buildup is removed while the hydrating gel restores comfort.

Will Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel remove waterproof makeup?
This gel cleanser effectively removes most makeup and oil, but waterproof or long-wear formulas may require a dedicated makeup remover or oil cleanser first. For best results with heavy makeup, use this as your second cleanse after an oil-based first step.
Can I use Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel if I have oily skin?
Yes. While it's formulated to prevent moisture loss, it still removes excess oil and impurities effectively. Oily skin often becomes dehydrated when over-cleansed, which can trigger more oil production, so this gentler approach can actually help balance your skin over time.
Does Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel foam or lather?
Yes, the gel transforms into a light, foamy lather when activated with water. The foam provides the satisfying cleansing experience many people prefer, but the formula is designed to be non-stripping so you get the feel of a foaming cleanser without the dryness.
Is Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel scented?
This cleanser contains pink grapefruit oil, which provides a light, natural citrus scent. If you have sensitivities to fragrance or essential oils, this may not be the best choice for your skin.
Can I use Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel with active ingredients like retinol or acids?
Absolutely. This hydrating cleanser is an excellent choice when using active treatments because it cleanses without compromising your moisture barrier, which is critical when your skin is more vulnerable from exfoliating or retinoid use. A gentle cleanser helps prevent irritation and supports better tolerance of actives.
How much Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel should I use per wash?
A small amount, about the size of a nickel, is typically enough to cleanse your entire face and neck. The gel foams easily, so a little goes a long way. Using too much won't improve results and may make rinsing less efficient.
Will Michele Corley Hydrating Cleansing Gel help with dry, flaky skin?
Yes. This cleanser is specifically formulated to prevent moisture loss during cleansing, which makes it an excellent choice for dry or flaky skin. Glycerin and panthenol work to hydrate and support your moisture barrier, so your skin feels softer and more comfortable rather than stripped and tight.

I do love the Michelle Corley face wash line. I’ve tried the pore cleansing wash too but I think I might prefer that one for my blackheads. But this one is nice though

I do not like the smell of this at all. It is very string and lingers unpleasantly even after a thorough rinse. This product was suggested to me but someone from AOS as a replacement for my Orgaid Aloe Cleanser since they won't be selling it any more and this has not been a good option at all so I will be trying something else.

Love this face wash. It
Love this face wash. It has been in my rotation for a while and I still love it. Cleans my skin well but doesn't leave skin “squeaky clean”. I enjoy the slight scent.

THE BEST
This face cleanser is amazing! I use it in the morning and at night and I really feel like it cleans my skin and takes off all the dirt from the day without leaving it dry or with a “rubbery” feeling. The scent is very fresh and not overpowering at all. I love it. This is a must have product of this selection and I recommend 1,000%!
