Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel is a targeted corrective serum that brings together three of the most respected exfoliating acids in skincare to refine texture, calm breakouts, and even out tone. This lightweight gel formula is designed for blemish-prone and oily skin that needs a multi-tasking treatment to address congestion, post-blemish marks, and uneven surface texture in one step. The formula carries a light herbal scent from lavender, grapefruit, and spearmint essential oils.
Refines pores and smooths rough texture: Lactic acid gently dissolves dead surface cells while salicylic acid clears inside the pore, leaving skin noticeably smoother and more refined with consistent use.
Calms redness and fades post-blemish marks: Azelaic acid works to reduce post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and the ruddy, flushed look that often lingers after breakouts.
Targets active breakouts and pustules: Salicylic acid combined with the antibacterial action of azelaic acid makes this an effective spot treatment for inflamed blemishes and pustular lesions.
Controls excess oil and shine: Witch hazel water and the acid blend help regulate sebum production, keeping skin balanced throughout the day without stripping it.
Supports skin recovery during exfoliation: Glucosamine HCl, hydrolyzed actin, and calcium gluconate work alongside the exfoliating acids to support the skin barrier as it renews.

Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel is best suited for oily, congested, and blemish-prone skin types dealing with active breakouts, clogged pores, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or persistent redness. If your skin tends to flush easily, develops pustular blemishes, or holds onto dark marks long after a breakout has cleared, this serum addresses all three concerns in one formula.
It is also a strong option for anyone whose skin has plateaued with a single-acid product and needs the layered approach of azelaic, lactic, and salicylic acids to see real change in tone and texture.
Those with very dry, sensitized, or compromised skin barriers should approach this serum slowly or consider a gentler exfoliant first.
-
If you are using this as a spot treatment for an active breakout, apply a thin layer directly to the blemish after cleansing and let it sit for ten minutes before applying the rest of your routine. This concentrated contact time helps the salicylic and azelaic acids work harder on the lesion without exposing the rest of your skin to extra exfoliation.
-
Prepare: Cleanse and fully dry your skin in the evening.
Apply: Dispense 1 to 2 pumps onto your fingertips and massage evenly across the face, avoiding the eye area.
Technique: Allow the gel to fully absorb before layering moisturizer. Always follow with SPF the next morning.
Frequency: Begin with two evenings per week and gradually increase as your skin builds tolerance.

What skin concerns does Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel address?
This serum is formulated to target multiple concerns at once: active breakouts, clogged pores, uneven texture, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and the ruddy redness that often accompanies blemish-prone skin. The combination of azelaic, lactic, and salicylic acids covers both surface and deeper pore-level concerns.
How often should I use Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel?
Start with two evenings per week to allow your skin to acclimate to the acid blend. Once your skin tolerates it well, you can increase to every other night or as recommended by your esthetician. Always pair daytime use with broad-spectrum SPF.
Can I use Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel as a spot treatment?
Yes, it works well as a targeted spot treatment for inflamed blemishes and pustular lesions. Apply a small amount directly to the blemish after cleansing and allow it to absorb before continuing with your routine.
Is Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel safe for sensitive skin?
This is a potent acid blend that also contains denatured alcohol and essential oils, so it may be too active for very sensitive or compromised skin. If your barrier is intact and you are accustomed to exfoliating acids, introduce it slowly and monitor how your skin responds.
What ingredients in Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel help with hyperpigmentation?
Azelaic acid is the standout ingredient for fading post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and evening overall tone. Lactic acid supports this by gently turning over surface cells, helping discoloration fade more evenly over time.
Can I use Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel with retinol or other actives?
We recommend alternating nights rather than layering this serum with retinol or other strong exfoliants to avoid over-exfoliation. If you are unsure how to fit it into your current routine, our estheticians can help you build a balanced schedule through a free skincare consultation.
When should I expect to see results from Rhonda Allison Retexturing Gel?
Most users notice calmer, smoother skin within two to three weeks of consistent use. Visible fading of post-blemish marks and refinement of pore texture typically becomes noticeable around the six to eight week mark.

First time product use
It's only been a month of using the product and not seeing any improvements but it has only been a month. I also looked up the product myself so would recommend asking Art if Skin Care for their advice. It is well worth it to pay for a consultation if you can. The product stings a bit when I place it on your face but has a nice herbal smell. When it goes on it is slightly sticky feeling but when dry the stickiness goes away.
